The word “Jyotish” means “light,” and Vedic astrology serves to illuminate everything that is unknown, unclear, and misunderstood to us. Eastern philosophy believes that each person has a predetermined life path – karma that assigns a task and purpose to each of us in life. When our life karma was assigned, the planets in the sky aligned in a specific constellation to welcome the arrival of our soul on Earth. Arranged in this way, they actually conveyed a message and a lesson to each of us about what we need to take care of and what awaits us in life, when life opportunities will present themselves, and when life problems or turning points will occur.
This celestial code provides advice on how to resolve specific life situations and which alternative to choose in life at a given moment. Jyotish is a story about karma, about the karma of the present and all previous lives we have lived and how they have influenced our current life circumstances. Jyotish is ancient Vedic knowledge – knowledge of everything that was, is, and will be, as well as all causes and consequences in the past, present, and future.

There are different types of Jyotish consultations, and attention during consultations is given to various topics or questions:
- Natal chart – JANMA KUNDALI
- Annual forecast – TITHI PRAVESHA
- Answers to specific questions – PRASHNA
- Determining the most favorable moment to start anything – MUHURTA
- Analysis of compatibility between you and another person – KUTHA
The Natal chart (Janma Kundali) represents the positions of 9 planets (grahas) within 12 zodiac signs (rasis) and the position of the ascendant (lagna). Each sign at the time of a person’s birth was placed in one of the 12 houses (bhavas), which represent specific life spheres. All planets interact with each other in certain ways (yogas), take on the characteristics of the signs they are in, and give their energy to the houses they occupy, prompting action. In this way, they tell a person’s life story, the path their soul needs to traverse in this life, and the obstacles and opportunities they will encounter on that journey.
Unlike Western astrology, in Jyotish, each life sphere has its own divisional chart (varga) that allows for a deeper analysis of that life sphere and the exact determination of when it will activate, develop, and offer opportunities for maximum realization. Throughout a person’s life, the transition of life periods and turning points can be equated with the rise in the influence of a particular planet or the so-called life period (dasha), which activates specific events predetermined by karma. By analyzing the birth chart, we can identify the strengths and weaknesses of one’s personality, predict tendencies and paths of development, warn about vulnerable areas, and indicate ways to achieve maximum success in given areas of life.
To create a Natal chart, it’s necessary to have information about the date, time, and place of birth of the person seeking the chart. Within this consultation, the client can also ask questions related to close ones or seek deeper explanations of specific life spheres.
Tithi Pravesha is a story about the year between two birthdays, about the opportunities and challenges that await us in that year, and the measures we should take to make the best of what that year offers and avoid impending dangers.
Prashna is the horoscope of the moment and shows the planets and ascendant placed in 12 houses and zodiac signs at the moment when an answer to a posed question can be given.
Muhurta comes down to determining the most favorable moment to start anything new so that it brings the best results to the person seeking that particular moment. The right moment to start a marriage can improve the relationship between future spouses, influence the improvement of areas of the relationship that were weak, or activate those that were missing. Starting a business at the right time can contribute to the business’s longevity and the earnings it brings.
Kutha, relationship analysis. At the beginning of a relationship, whether it’s friendship, marriage, or a business relationship, a compatibility chart can determine the quality and longevity of the relationship. By comparing the horoscopes of two people, you can see how sincere they are toward each other, what and to what extent they feel or think about each other, and which life spheres will stimulate or hinder each other. Based on this, measures can be applied to make the relationship more quality and lasting. Furthermore, through Jyotish, one can see why a particular person entered your life at this moment, what their role and task are, whether it’s a fateful connection, and how long it will last.
